Mummy Snack

This food project would be great as a Halloween Party Center! It may get a little sticky, but the kids don't mind.

Mummy Snack

You'll need:
*1 Pretzel Road for each student
*3 Jumbo Marshmellows
*Fruit by the foot (you can get 2 kids per 1 foot. Cut roll in half)
* Cake Gel for eyes.

Are you my Mummy

October is the month for two major things in my classroom and life itself:

1. My birthday
2. Halloween

I love to come up with fun projects for my students to create for Halloween. Here's one I've been doing for YEARS.

Mummy Candy Cups

*Have each student bring in a empty and clean bottle of water.
*Teacher cuts them down
*Assist students gluing (I usually squeeze the glue while they arrange everything on the bottle).
*Use cap from bottle as the nose
*Use cheese cloth to wrap around
*Google eyes
*Fill with Candy

Fast and fun project the kids LOVE, and I love how each mummy has its' own little personality.

Keep Calm and Sub On.

Just a little intro: My name is Stacey. I just moved to Texas from California where I was a teacher. I have taught grades K-2. I'd have to say my most favorite grade to teach so far has been second grade. I love molding and shaping young minds, in fun and creative ways. Ya gotta keep the kiddos excited about learning right?

Like I said I moved to Texas from California, with my husband and two dogs, Sam and Pudge. Since moving out this way, I've been working on obtaining my Texas Teaching Credential and I've been subbing a lot.

Now that I have more time on my hands than I normally would, I thought it would be a great idea to start a blog dedicated to fun and creative ways to teach. I'll be sharing ideas, projects, and printables of my own as well as others that have been shared with me as well.

Enjoy your time here and come back often.
